Bio

Cris Aramayo is a 24 year old producer, sound designer, and multi instrumentalist.

Born in Cambridge, UK, Cris spent most of her later childhood and adolescence in Mexico City, which is where most of her family is from. Having lived in several countries as well as having family from Bolivian, Lebanese and Spanish descent, she considers multiculturalism and diversity an essential part of any project.

As an Electronic Production and Design alumni at Berklee College of Music, Cris has collaborated with musicians from all around the world, always gaining insight from an international perspective and learning about different forms of expressing oneself through music.

Her sound varies from spacious, ethereal and contemplative pieces, to fast paced, groovy and glitchy music. Some parts of her work are very sound design oriented, stretching, granulating and processing audio from acoustic settings-reimagining melodies or songs and transforming them into atmospheric panoramas. Meanwhile, her music under cris_renders_, her main solo project, also explores beats derived from drum machines, synthesizers, and samples recorded from jam sessions.

With experience across live sound, editorial, and recording, Cris has worked as a sound technician, audiobook editor, and recording engineer for dubbing. At The Beehive in Boston, a long-standing jazz venue at the heart of the city, the focus was on delivering the best possible sound for live performances, balancing clarity, warmth, and dynamics for both musicians and audiences. In audiobook work, voice performances are carefully cleaned and edited, quality control corrections are addressed, and each project is prepared to a high standard before mastering. As a recording engineer, work has included recording and directing Mexican voice actors for Spanish-language dubs of Korean television shows for Latin American audiences. She currently lives between the Washington DC and Mexico City.
